Class News

Dear Families,

I hope you all had a relaxing holiday and enjoyed your week off from school. We will be pretty busy in Kindergarten over the next few weeks with assessments and projects to be completed before our Winter Break. Many of our assessments in Kindergarten require me to work individually with my students. As you can imagine, with a class of 25 this takes a lot of time in order to complete everything needed for our report cards. Attendance during the next few weeks is critical as we attempt to finish the majority of these tasks before the break. Please try to have your child in school everyday. Obviously, if they are ill, children need to stay home. If your child must miss school for a planned trip, please let me know ahead of time so that I am can work with them before you leave.

With the colder weather here now, there are a lot more students wearing jackets. If your child cannot put on or take off their jacket independently, please work with them at home to learn how to do this. Also, Winter Break is a great time to learn how to tie shoes! Thank you in advance for your help with these things!

I have created the signups for both classroom and Wednesday helpers for the second half of the school year. The links are below. Please limit your sign ups so that lots of parents have the opportunity to help. Thank you!

That's all for this week.
