WHEN REPORTING YOUR STUDENTS ABSENCE TO THE SCHOOL

If your child will be leaving campus during the school day please e-mail or send a note to your childs teacher prior to their departure.

When arriving on campus to pick your child up please come in the office to sign them out and we will ring the classroom for you. Thank you!

What if my child misses the last ten days of school?

 

Missing the Last Ten School Days for 2012-13 and

Independent Study Contracts at the End of the School Year

 

Students should be in attendance through the last day of school, June 13, 2013, to maintain their enrollment status at their current school.  Independent study contracts must end on or before May 30, 2013.  Independent study contracts will not be issued the last 10 days of school.

 

  • If your child must leave school earlier than 10 school days (May 31)  before the last day of school  and does not return before the end of the school year, your child will be unenrolled and placed at the bottom of the 2013-14 waitlist.

 

If the student is unenrolling, there may not be a space at their current school for the student to return in the fall.  In this case the student may have to be diverted to another school in the district.  Middle and High school students may not be able to access their elective choices if they are reenrolled. 

 

 

  • All independent study contract work must be submitted by May 31, 2013 in order for work to be graded and attendance to be recorded.

What if my child misses the first three days of school?

 

Missing the First Three Days of School 2012-13

 

As you plan your summer vacation, be aware that school begins on Tuesday, August 28, 2012.

  Because our district is growing, schools are very full and many continue to have wait lists.

 

  • As in the past, if your child does not attend the first three days of school, your student will be dropped from the school on  Monday, August  31, 2012

 

In that event, you will need to reenroll your student.  A space at your resident school will not be held for your child.  If there is not space at your resident school when you return, your child will be placed at the closest school based on space availability.
